LOTD - Champagne Pink, Grape Pop

April 23, 2010 10:19 pm · 48 Views · Posted by Regis

Yet another one inspired by vintageortacky - I've been watching too many of her videos for my own academic good. -__-

I know the pink isn't really showing up in these pics, and it appears as more of a frosty white but it's has a slight pinkish wash in real life. What I did was to smudge out some NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in "Milk", pat some of NYX's "Salmon" pink eyeshadow onto that base and then layer NYX's "Snow Cone" over. That's the Chrome pigment "Beanie" plus some black eyeshadow at the edges.

Full-face pic

I'm loving how the light frosty pink shows up as a highlighted line on my lids, and how the purplish brown edges contours my eye to fake out a crease (which I dismally lack).

Thanks for reading, cheers~

AMAZING! Great job with the blending - I love how it's smoky, but not overblended!

@ AngMoGirl: Aww, thanks for the sweet compliment~ I actually realized the shadows aren't aligned on both sides after staring at the pics for a while, the right side seems to be higher. Ahh well, more blending practice for me then. Smiling

@ miwitch: Laughing out loud Meoowww, thanks~ I like the colours too, it's kinda girly with the purple brown and pink but thank goodness there's the smoky-ness to tone the cutesy factor down.

Love it! Love how you used the lighter shade all over your lids and blended the darker colour at the top. I shall try this out and see if I'm successful at recreating this look, haha

@ ladeekim: Thanks for the nice feedback! Laughing out loud Ha ha, I learnt it from vintageortacky, she does this beautifully. It looks even better with hooded lids or those with crease. Do try it and post up the LOTD ok? Looking forward to it!

Oh gosh, yeah, I understand how you feel. Cos it took me 2-3 tries before it stopped looking weird too. I think after the exams, I shall try to re-create the look again and see if I can post a tutorial. Or you can pop over to watch vintageortacky's YouTube vids. She does quite a few of these looks.
