LOTD - Summer Sunset Colour Burst

December 6, 2010 1:43 am · 81 Views · Posted by Regis

I'm not sure if you've notice, but every time exams come around and it's my study week, I end up using most of the time playing with my makeup and doing LOTDs instead. Ha ha, what a waste, I know and I think my results reflect it too. But it really helps to de-stress!

Anyway, I was reading Jerlaine's blog and saw this awesome corally-bronzey LOTD by JulieG713. She named it the "Hot and Sultry, Summer Party Look". I thought it looked more romantic sunset-ish. So I just meshed up the names and got my lame LOTD title. o__o

Jerlaine did her take on it, and I thought it worked wonderfully on her monolids (so pretty~) so I'm trying it out too! Plus, I absolutely love the colour combi, don't you too?!?!

Zehh eyeeesss...

Sparklies sparklies, at the inner corners of my eyes, I love it!!! It's the Etude House Tear Drop Eye Liner that sweet miwitch bestowed on me, and I absolutely adore its glittery effect~ And the lashes, gosh. L'oreal Shocking Volume mascara primer + M. Majorca's Frame Plus = lashes to the high heavens! (Now if only the mascara wasn't sooo blardy difficult to get off.)

Products used: All eyeshadows were from my 88 original palette (how I miss using it!), NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in "Milk" as a base, UDPP, MUFE Aqua Cream in "5", Loreal 24 Hour Gel Liner, Etude House Tear Drop Liner, Loreal Shocking Volume Mascara, M. Majorca Frame Plus, Silkygirl Eyebrow Pencil, MAC MSF in "By Candlelight", random lip liner from Malaysia and last but not least, the Carslan lipgloss miwitch gave me.

A few more selcas~

I feel that this look definitely needs a full pair of eyebrows to frame the eyes and face, hence the fully-coloured in brows. :]

Listening to my iPod while messing around with makeup = ultimate de-stress!

Oh, and remember I was saying that I'm currently recovering from a flu too? Well, I'm 80% fine now, but I'm still having the whiffles. So here's a few un-glam candids of me stemming the leaky nose.

Ha ha ha, how I love cam-whoring! *cough* Anyway, thanks for looking at the pic spam, take care dearies~

LOTD Lunar New Year Day 3 + Exciting News

February 19, 2010 2:15 pm · 28 Views · Posted by Regis

Continuation with the previous post, but I decided to break it down into 2 parts because of the picture spam. x3

Day 3 LOTD

I did a rusty smokey eye (with silver eyeshadow at the inner corners and black eyeliner all around) to go with my outfit...

... which was a purplish red cheongsum tunic. This piece was actually my CNY clothes last year, but I re-wore it since it fits the festivity!

And it's official. The e.l.f USD $1 eyelid primer works wonders! After using it for all the hot, humid CNY days, my eyeshadows never creased and never faded. It even held my Stage black eyeliner in place after being out in the sweltering weather for 8 hrs (previously I wore it to school without any base and it ran a little on my lower lashline after 4 hrs). I love it sooooo much, really should order a few more tubes for back-ups. The only complain so far that I can think of is that the eyeshadows may be a bit harder to blend, since the primer has such holding power. But it's nothing a few more blending strokes cannot solve!

And then I continued experimenting with smokey eyes, this time to match with a blue tunic I was thinking of wearing.

Ah ha ha! I think I'm getting the hang of doing smokey eyes~ The key, I think, is to find the correct shape for your eye (depending on how your eyes look, which varies from person to person) and shading in properly. Also not combining too many colours helps. I really like this look, cos the light blue and silver eyeshadows together with the pink cheeks and lips brightens up my sallow face. But I think it's a bit risky to wear out, looks a bit in-your-face for SIngapore. I feel that people will start staring weirdly at me if I wore this out. Hmm.

Anyhow, exciting news!!!

1) Garnier Fructis Hair Care lIne found in Singapore

This hair care line from Garnier is pretty popular in the U.S. but I thought the only way to get it was to import from drugstore.com (expensive shipping fees due to the weight! >"<). However, I found it being sold in Venus Beauty for S$6.90 and they have the full range of shampoos and conditioners. Like OMFG... I bought the conditioner first because I'm currently out of it but I will be buying the shampoo next to try. :)

2) Majolica Majorca's "She Was A Doll" out on 22/02/2010 (Monday)

Well, at least for Jurong Point that is. I've heard from here that it has been released in Watsons Toa Payoh last week but for JP's watsons, it's the coming Monday! I'm pretty psyched, cos the new Marjolica Majorca Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On looks awesome. I've been really impressed with their Frame Plus mascara (which gave me fantastically long eyelashes) so I'm so looking forward to this volumizing mascara. I mean, look at that wand, it's not the typical bristle kind nor the comb kind. :D

Hope everyone enjoyed this post, cheers~
