In honour of the wonderful Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV), I shall name this post after it.
Shall reveal what I use it for now - I conditioned my hair with it.
Like omg, I don't know how many of you actually know this but it works FANTASTIC as a hair conditioner and clarifier! I thought the most you do with ACV is to masak, or to clean the house. The most extreme use of ACV I heard eons ago was to drink a tablespoon straight out of the bottle - tongue-paralyzing, facial muscle scringing, eyes watering-ly good for our health, but use it to wash hair??? I thought my hair would shrivel up and fall out from my head, because face it, when you drink this stuff, your tongue feels like shriveling up and dropping off too.
But weirdly enough, it works. I diluted the stuff out from this bottle...
... 1 part ACV to 2 parts water, shampoo-ed as per normal and then rinsed my hair with it. And to be honest, the whole bathroom stank. Even my mom who was in the kitchen 1 floor down asked me what I was doing in the bathroom. ("I'm using the vinegar, mom!") Then I left it in my hair while I soaped and washed myself, after which I rinsed off the vinegar with lots of cold water.
And the bathroom still stank.
But you know what? My hair didn't, and it was so smooth and tangle-free that I didn't have to use any conditioners. I was like "WTF, WTF, WTF, WTF..." the whole time I was rinsing my hair in the smelly bathroom. No problems combing my hair, and when my hair dried, it was in this amazing light and flouncy state! Seriously, I'm not lying when I say that was one of the few times I saw my hair actually bounce (most of the time it lies flat on my head).
So yeah, I think anyone who's gungho enough should try this out. I didn't experience any change in hair fall but on the other hand, I wouldn't use use it too often. Maybe once a week to clarify my hair of all the gunk I put in it.
And here's my HOTD, since I went to Tampines Central to shop. Weather is still headache-inducing-ly hot.
